Transitioning to senior citizenhood
Guys who are in the cusp of being senior citizens are a bewildered bunch vacillating between acceptance of having crossed the 60 milestone and not letting go of their 50 plus status.
On one side they enjoy the perks of being a senior citizen like concessional travel by train, flights whatever and also additional interest rates but on the other hand they are in a denial mode of their age unable to come to terms with not being able to rub shoulders with their younger colleagues anymore. However they need to realize that it's not the end of the road (cul de sac).
We have umpteen instances on either side of the spectrum. At a time when most people are hanging up boots some intrepid seniors embark on new businesses and turn entrepreneurs while a few others put their heart and soul for serving the underprivileged.
Being grumpy and doing nothing other than being an armchair critic and trying to shove unsolicited advice down the throat of others is nothing but exceptional depravity.
